Gelatin Certification 

BCN has recognized your concerns regarding the use of gelatin capsules and the potential for the transmission of disease, especially Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), which can cause Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) in susceptible individuals.  The products which are manufactured specifically for BCN all specify that PlusPharma, Inc.'s Su-Heung Capsule is the only gelatin capsule used for our products.  Not only is this capsule manufactured to a higher standard, but the only gelatin source used is certified as not being a "specific risk material" for BSE, and "there is no risk for B.S.E from the Su-Heung Capsules."  In addition, the quality and dissolution characteristics are superior to capsules typically used for supplements, and they are pharmaceutical grade.  This insures you a safe, efficient product that releases the capsule contents consistently − capsule-to-capsule, batch-to-batch − and appropriately for optimal bioavailability of the ingredients.

The hard-shell gelatin capsules manufactured by Su-Heung Capsule Company . . . are made from bovine and porcine hide only.

There is no bone gelatin used.  Since the gelatin source is hide only and bovine hide is not considered a specific risk material (S.R.M.) there is no risk for B.S.E from the Su-Heung capsules. 

From the signed Gelatin Certification, on file:

PlusPharma, Inc. ... hereby certifies that the [Su-Heung] hard-shell gelatin capsules ... are derived from a combination of Porcine Hide and Bovine Hide.  No Bovine Bone is used.

The bovine raw material used in the manufacturing of the gelatin is derived from the hides only and the country of origin for these hides is the U.S.A.  Bovine hides are not considered to be a Specific Risk Material (SRM) of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE).

Today, Su-Heung capsules are considered the best in the world.  While there is no evidence of any disease transmission from gelatin capsules, the manufacturing of the Su-Heung capsules that BCN uses goes the several extra steps beyond other manufacturers to assure you both the highest quality and pharmaceutical grade safety in your health supplements.
