Visual Ocuity™ has been designed to
support healthy eye function.
The lens of the eye, unlike most body tissues, does not experience a turnover of
cells. The eye cells we are born with are the eye cells we have for our whole
lives. As we age and the lens continues to grow, it can become less transparent
to light, which occurs from a wide range of causes including excessive free
radicals, smoke, dust, ultraviolet rays, excessive sugars, drug use, inadequate
nutrient levels, and poor blood flow.
One of
the most common
ways in which the lens is damaged is through a process called “Glycation”, which
is the binding of sugars to proteins. Glycation occurs throughout the body and results in hardening and cross-linking of cells, as proteins are bound
together, for example, on the skin in the form of wrinkles, or in the arteries or
other organs as hardening. In the eye, glycation causes a swelling of the tissue
which causes reduced vision. The end result of glycation is rapid organ aging.
Visual Ocuity™ contains two FDA-approved
lubricants (Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose
and glycerin) which provide a synergistic
protection against dry eyes, and other forms of eye irritation including
age-related changes.
Young eyes have
naturally occurring high concentrations of antioxidants. As we age, the levels

As we age, we tend to
produce less oils (lipids) which are a major
component of the tears that protect, lubricate and
nourish our eyes. The components of natural
tears are: lipids (which help prevent evaporation of
the tear film and lubricates the eyelid), ocular mucin (which makes
the eye surface wettable), and the aqueous portion
(the aqueous layer constitutes 90% of the thickness
of the tear film and provides oxygen and nutrition
for the cornea.) Visual Ocuity
is like an artificial tear, adding lubrication and
aqueous components. The combination of

along with a healthy diet that includes Omega-3
fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA, can help insure

Visual Ocuity™ eye-drops can be used
daily for temporary relief of discomfort
due to minor irritations in
the eye. Excellent for sun and wind exposure,
this product can be used before or after exposure, and
as a lubricant and protectant against irritation, or to
relieve dryness of the eye.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Apply 1 or 2 drops in each eye 1-to-4 times a day or as directed by a physician.
Please read the enclosed product insert carefully.
Very rarely, a slight stinging may occur when the
eye is very dry, or the pH of the eye is different
from the solution; however, this slight stinging
should dissipate in a few seconds.
For the proper installation
of drops: Lean head back and look up. Instill
'One Drop' then slowly and gently close the eye,
being careful not to squeeze the eye drop out of the
eye. Do not blink or reopen for 60 seconds.
Repeat this procedure if a second drop is used.
Closing the eye allows each drop to be absorbed into
the eye tissue. Blinking, even one or two
times, or shutting the eyelid too tight, will pump
most of the solution out of the eye. If you
have neck problems, lie down or use a tilt-back
chair.
Each box contains 2 squeeze tube vials with
5
ml of the eye drop solution per vial.
NOTE: Visual Ocuity vials are rated by the
manufacturer at 75 drops per vial, or 150 drops per package. However, this
allows for slight differences in how people squeeze the vial when using this
product, and slight variations in the opening created when puncturing the vial.
Typically, users report about 225 drops per package (112 drops per vial).
