Epilobium-AP (Epilobium parviflorum & Epilobium angustifolium):
This advanced Epilobium formula goes beyond prostate health by combining Small Flower Willow herb (Epilobium parviflorum) and Organic Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium, aka: Great Flowered Willow Herb). Epilobium-AP delivers the total promise of Epilobium in a complete, balanced extract that contains the full range of beneficial flavonoids.
When these two species of Epilobium are properly combined, the True Full-Spectrum of Epilobium's benefits are released
Of the 20 known healthful components of the Epilobium Species, a balanced combination of Epilobium parviflorum and Epilobium angustifolium provides 11 of the 20 known components. Balancing the two herbs together allows them to compliment each other with elements that would be missing if only a single herb was used.
Fireweed targets prostate cells to directly reduce excess proliferation
of cells that become Benign Prostate Hyperplaxia (BPH) This function is unique to Fireweed and complements the prostate benefits of BCN's Life Assure®.
The combined nutrition of Epilobium-AP and Life Assure® provides unsurpassed support for a healthy prostate.
Epilobium-AP delivers the total promise of this plant
The balancing of the two herbs together allows them to complement each other with elements that would be missing if only a single herb were used.
Epilobium is a potent anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory agent that tones and protects the entire urogenital system. Epilobium can be a safe, effective way to help reduce BPH, and it often helps when nothing else does. It also may help improve incontinence and urgency.
Scientific literature is quickly confirming the actions of Epilobium. In 1991, an article in Plant Medicine confirmed its anti-inflammatory effect, and noted it to be "ten times more effective than indomethacin" (1). Inhibition of 5 alpha-reductase and aromatase, which are involved in the etiology of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), was confirmed in several recent articles (2,3). In addition, the anti-infectious activity of a water-alcohol extract was shown in vitro (outside the body), in ovo (in an egg) and in vivo (in a living body).
